We went to a couple beaches in CT and RI, and East Beach is easily the best of them all. The sand feels like the Caribbean, and the waves are the right size for either body boarding or swimming. Parking is your biggest issue. We got there around 10a.m. during a summer weekday, and we found free 2-hour parking on... More

Very pleased with the recommendations for this beach!! We traveled from CT even though it was supposed to be a cloudy day and were pleasantly surprised to a fabulous beach day!

The fact that they charge $25 for parking is a bit ridiculous. The beach however, makes it worth the price. It is such a clean, beautiful beach with sparkling clear water. There isn't much to do directly on the beach, but there is the carousel and shops on the main road. Highly recommend this beach, and the drive provides great... More

There is NO bathroom. The sand fine and clean. Not many shells. We got there early and parked in the two hour parking and walked to the beach. We got there early cause my friend said the meter maid doesn't start clocking and timing cars till 10am which there is a two hour time limit for the whole day. We... More

East Beach is a delighful stretch of sand and dunes with a backdrop of waterfront houses. Except for Ocean House, it's completely free of commercial intrusions, and all the more attractive for that reason. Access is the only problem: Locals want this asset for themselves and consequently visitors may struggle to find reasonably convenient parking--and even places to park for... More

This place is a bit of a walk to get to but it's perfect. Mixed quiet [mostly - lol] crowd and perfect sand. Close to the Ocean House so you can walk up and have a cocktail.

For a short walk from the street down through vegetation the reward is a delightful beach, a scenic view, access to the water and stones for skipping.

Beach is, as the sign says, "one of the most beautiful beaches on the Eastern seaboard" but, you may want to visit in the off season. Parking is limited; and as access is down a narrow path off Bluff Road it seems likely you might be driving around a bit before finding a space (the closest parking spaces are for... More

After a long walk on the beautiful white sand of East Beach, past the Ocean House and the many beautiful homes, you will want to stay. Also, don't miss a walk out to Napa Tree Point. Both beaches are exquisite and why Watch Hill is such a jewel of New England.
