Blackstone Valley Visitor Center is the welcome center for Rhode Island's Blackstone Valley. Known as the Birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution, Blackstone Valley is home to many historic and cultural sites, as well as great outdoor recreational opportunities, arts and entertainment. The Visitor Center is located just minutes off of Interstate 95 in Pawtucket, RI near the Massachusetts border. Come see our museum-style timeline wall covering the history of the region and giant floor map showing the lakes, rivers, highways, parks and attractions across the entire Blackstone River Valley! We also offer visitor information, brochures, guides and maps. In addition, Blackstone Valley Visitor Center also hosts a gift shop with locally made gifts and souvenirs, a rotating art gallery of featuring local artists, and a theatre to view a short movie on the history of Blackstone Valley.

This place is worth the visit of you are looking for something to do in the area. We were interested in finding places to kayak locally. They provided maps of the local rivers with where to park and where you could put the boat in.
