With the break wall, beach has little to no waves. Great watching boats come and going in the channel next to it. There are picnic tables under cover just off the beach.

Stopped by during the week while Hermine was looping off the east coast. The wind turbine at the state building here was flying. The beach was quiet and protected. There are nice board walks and decks along the seawall here. The state building has a food stand and a covered pavilion with picnic tables. The beach is small and looks... More

Come early or late in the day. If you can't find a spot to park, go down the road to Wheeler State Beach then walk to this beach. This beach and Wheeler State Beach have calmer waters than Scarborough State Beach. No waves because of the breakwater. PROS: Watch the action at the harbor - boats and ferries come and... More

This beach was walking distance from our hotel and it was perfect. The water was great, some waves but not overwhelming. The beach was clean and cozy

Salty Brine is a really nice beach. It's definitely a smaller beach so plan to get there early! This beach caters to all ages but this is a family oriented/mature crowd beach, which is why I like it! I do wish they could put some hooks up in the family changing rooms-geez, did it really take a patron to figure... More

Small beach front, but surf safer for children, and easy walking distance to numerous restaurants in Galilee. Easily found parking after a rain storm. Enjoyed watching fishing boats and ferries pass by. Ice cream at adjacent Chaplins was fantastic.

We used to always go to this beach, because it seemed to be a bit of a hidden gem. However, my grandfather would get up at 6 am to get us a good spot and a good parking spot. Then they built a new pavilion, which took away many of the already limited parking spots, although did create beautiful new... More

Small beach accessible right at George's of Gaille, parking is limited so go early. Plenty of parking up the street. This beach is great for families with small kids. Food available and seating along river to boat watch and fish.

I love to take my great grandkids here. Last year I took my 2 y/o great grandson. The water is warm, the waves are gentle and the beach is fairly shallow and safe for the little ones. They also enjoy watching all the boats go by up the channel.

I've been coming to Salty Brine/Galilee Beach for four years. This past weekend (7/17/16) I witnessed two individuals smoking from a metal pipe. Now I did not smelled marijuana the entire three hours I was there so I think they were smoking some other illegal substance. The woman smoking the pipe was out of it and could barely walk. I...
