We had a beautiful day. It was fun even when packed out. The facilities were very nice. Nice playground. Wheelchairs for beach are available to those who need them - so accessible.

Busy at the beach for Monday. Water was clean, nice small waves, enjoyable walking. Plenty of lifeguards. Bathroom and changing facilities adequate. Snackbar available. Reasonable parking fees. Very pleasant day.

If you have children and are looking for a state beach that has minimal waves, this beach is what you're looking for. Wheeler State beach has all the amenities that one would look for at a beach, even a playground!
