We are "non residents" simce we live in CT and I was pleasantly surprised that the parking fee was only $12 on a weekday. Everything about our visit was good. Our children loved it. There wasa bit of seaweed in the water but it was...More

Misquamicut beach is popular because of its size, location, and large waves. Arrive early to avoid lines for parking. The pavilion has a snack bar, bathrooms, and outdoor showers. There's also a playground. High tide brings lots of seaweed and forceful waves, be careful!

We visited this state beach twice last week. It is a nice beach with nice size waves. It was a bit crowded both days but we didn’t have a problem finding a spot for ourselves. We paid the 14$ and 12$ for parking in the...More

Great beach!!! Arrive early to get a good parking spot. The parking lot is close to the other attractions on Atlantic Avenue. The best time to visit is during the week.

We spent a few hours where with the kids. Easy to get to. They don't charge admission in the evening. The beach and sand were nice. Not many shells. The bathrooms were really gross.

Misquamicut is a popular beach with CT/RI/Mass residents. The coastline is huge, beaches are clean and protected and the water is swimmable. Enjoy other attractions on the 'boardwalk' full of restaurants, bars , stores, ice cream and even a water park.

One of Rhode Island’s gems! Clean water and lovely waves! Long beach to walk too. Please pick up your own trash to keep it lovely! Thanks

The beach was really nice on the day that I went. The waves were gentle for my toddler. Mid-week tends to be less busy, and also cheaper to park. Weekends can be a mad house.

In Rhode Island there is no alcohol allowed on any beaches, however establishments like The Windjammer and The Andrea are bars which overlook the beach.
