Nice beach

Park early or take your bikes...it is crowded in the summer...can be very sandy on a windy day but hey it's a beach! Clean and salty air.

I come here in the summer and fall to soak up vitamin D and take pictures. Always clean, not too over crowded (depending on the day) and it close to restaurants. I prefer to come here more so than beaches in Narragansett.

This is listed under Sachuest Beach, but the NWR is its own parking and has a visitor's center with clean bathrooms and a tiny gift shop. We walked on the Ocean's Loop and it was empty because of the overcast cool weather. But the views are incredible and there are tons of birds. For us, it was a nice contrast... More

I decided to take my Springer Spaniel, Rigsby, to the beach for an afternoon. I didn't want to drive any major highways so chose to find a dog friendly beach in RI. Sachuest Beach (Second Beach) came up in google. It is a beautiful beach, easy to get to, with plenty of parking (at least off season). I'd highly recommend... More

Nice beach for walking or kite flying in April when we were there, and the nearby nature reserve had nice flat walking loop with Ocean and Bay views and birds. Some people were fishing.

Drive past first beach without a care in the world and head over to 2nd beach. It's a beautiful beach. Found it while attending Salve and it was a regular hot spot for all of us in the late summer, early Spring. Never was overcrowded like most of the other local beaches and never or rarely have to worry about... More

Arrive early, bring cash for a Del's Lemonade! Surfer's end is our favorite area to watch the kids, adults and surfing classes.

We love to walk the beach any time of year. Dogs can go on the beach as long as they are leashed in the off-season and before 7:45 during the summer. We love that! Incredible view of Saint George's and cliffs. Fun for families with snack bat and bathrooms with showers. Little pricey to park, but worth it. Non-smoking beach!

Way too many people for me. Everyone is on top of each other. There's also red tide. It's worse than seaweed, because it can get stuck in your hair for days (and that's with showering.)And it smells bad.Be prepared to pay for parking up until 4:00 p.m. On up side, they have showers & changing areas. And a snack bar. They even... More
