I've recently discovered this park in Rhode Island and am in love with it. You can walk, jog or bike there. The park is pretty big, it might take hours to walk there. Picnic areas are nicely set up.

Formerly the estate of the man who invented the Colt 45-it says Private Property-Open to the public. I guess it's been that way for many decades. Get down by the water a take in the view-or jog, ride a bike or just walk.

This state park was stunning, with both wooded areas and water front views. Picnic tables were plentiful (not sure if they are normally assigned as I was there on a week day and the park was not heavily populated). Gorgeous!

Discovering RI and found beautiful Colt State Park on a rainy day. Stunning stone barn, bike paths and beach area in park. Numerous picnic spots and a view of the Narragansett Bay. I can just imagine how busy this park is in season
