This bridge is attractive and a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't say it is spectacular. There are nice walking/biking trails both directions on both sides of the bridge and a nice park. The information about the flood control projects was interesting to read...More

So this is a pretty busy bridge since you go from Wilkes-Barre to Kingston. It’s a Great Walk and has an exit for trails to go into Kirby park. The statues are gorgeous when you take a breather.

The bridge was the only road within about 60 miles that wasnt full of potholes. I have traveled all over and Luzeren County area is the worst for roads. I live in the country outside of Williamsport Pa and our dirt roads are smoother.

It's a bridge - drive it, walk it, enjoy it. This is a very nice part of the downtown area and straddles the Susquehanna River. There are well-kept parks along the river with plenty of footpaths and views. Don't drive through town without checking out...More

Great bridge to check out. It survived several floods. If you can park your car and walk across the bridge to get a better look at the eagles on top.

If you're in the area, park and walk along the river and take in this majestic bridge. They don't build them like this anymore, which is sad. The eagles on the towers have seen it all. The rise and fall of Wilkes-Barre, along with many...More

Easy hike along the walkway that parallels the River. This was along the leeway/barrier that protects the town from possible flooding waters...I think it was built after Hurricane Agnes hit PA in the 70s. This area takes you into the Kings College and Wilkes College...More

The bridge, river walk and Kirby park are a nice walk for a sunny spring or summer day! Interesting architectural structure for such a small town in the mountains of PA.
