Chanticleer is a real gem. No matter when you go in the Spring or Summer there are incredible flowers in bloom. Also the ponds and Japanese gardens are a real treat. Finally the use of structures adds to the beauty of the arrangements.

A wonderful place to stroll around enjoying the gardens, woodland and structures. There is delight around every corner; either plants or sculptured water fountains and of course the "ruins"! It is a non commercial version of Longwood. Do take a picnic lunch so you can linger longer. The only downside is the plants are not identified by tags.

Spend a delightful hour or two exploring Wayne's hidden treasure. This ever changing garden enchants the senses. Bring a picnic, or just wander the comfortable paths through gardens that lead to unexpected places and feature beautiful plants.

The plantings are gorgeous. It used to be free to local residents but now they charge $5 and $10 for the general public. It is not very large but it is very pleasant to walk around the entire gardens or to sit on one of their iconic gardens. We live only a few miles away so we go every 6... More

My wife and I were in the area to see some gardens on 2017-05-07. We've been to several gardens in the area. There are some we have visited multiple times. This was our first visit here to Chanticleer. It was beautiful. Words can't describe it, but I'll try. First, the people greet you like you've been friends for a long... More

Friend told me about Chanticleer being on the top 20 gardens to visit in the US. When I looked into it for visiting sister and her 20-ish daughters, thought it would be a great day trip that included my 2 year old grandson. Fabulous gardens with the usual as well as the unique. This is on my list to visit... More

Worried about this morning’s hard rain, we were delighted it had stopped raining when we arrived at Chanticleer when it opened. Lighting was terrific. It was overcast with raindrops throughout the garden. Colors were vibrant and the beauty of the flowers exceeded expectations. We noticed lots of changes in the garden since our last visit, with the gardeners displaying their... More

I always love going to Chanticleer. There is always something in bloom and there is a lot to see with the houses and sculptures and the fish pond. They must have received a grant recently because it is even better kept this year than it has been in past years.

Thank Maggie S
