We brought a loaf of bread but couldn’t find any fish. The visitors center was closed. Beautiful area but beware it closes early in the fall! Very disappointing to find a beautiful fall day and it is in the 60’s and sunny 😎

I wish you could stop go inside, but it was still awesome to stand at the top of the day. It's a short stop on the way to many other hiking/outdoor attractions.

Stopped off here in passing to take in the magnificent views and drove up to Jakes Point for the overlooks. The road down the Eastern side of the Southern arm was closed, but we enjoyed our time here nonetheless.

Spent the day on the water at the dam and almost did the whole length of Allegheny Resevoir. Our first visit and definitely not our last.

There are no natural rocky waterfalls right at the dam. There is a dam overflow that looks somewhat like a waterfall.

What Gerald said. From Warren, PA take hemlock road to the tailwaters of the dam past the fish hatchery. There are two handicapped parking areas down there. Be mindful that this area is closed when the discharge exceed 6,000... More
