Such a fascinating tour of the history of industry, mining, coal, history, business, and life in 19th-century US. We got to ride a cool long piece of machinery deep, deep, into the mine. It was amazing to be in coal tunnels and to learn all...More

We visited the mine while out and about in the area. My husband is a coal miner so we thought it would be neat to go. You start out upstairs in a little museum that shows a lot of different tools used to mine coal...More

I took my kids and some friends for a "summer field trip." It was a great tour. Kids loved it... although we were all a bit nervous loading into the tiny coal cars to be transported into the dark mine!

My mother and I went here on a rainy day in Pennsylvania. The museum is great with many things that have become antiques and miner's equipment. The staff is very helpful and nice. The tour inside the mine was informative with many mining equipment still...More

You might want to contact them with this question. As I remember it from two visits, people need to be able to get in and out of a mine train car (up a step or two and sit a bit hunched over) and in the mine walk on... More
