Our family chose Ed's buggy rides because of their fantastic, simple flyer that reflects the Amish culture in the area. We rode with Sam who was an excellent tour guide and very knowledgeable. He answered our questions and encouraged our participation in the conversation. He was absolutely fantastic. The buggy and horses were well kept and maintained. When we arrived,... More

Unique and quaint ride with Charlie and Chester (the horses)...Ed's is one of the oldest buggy rides in the county. Met Ed who was kind enough to open up on a Sunday to accommodate for our short stay in the Amish country...didn't get the hour ride but the experience was just long enough to get the feel of how the... This was such a unique experience for us! Charlie and Chester were awesome tour guides lol. And of course so was our driver Sam. We had the opportunity to see the Amish working the land in their horse drawn equipment and the visit to an actual amish farm was awesome. Definitely a must do when in Lancaster County.

We had a really cool time riding in the buggy with Sam the driver and the two horses, Chester + Charlie. The operation was simple... we met Ed, who was kind and not flashy. The ride was as promised, roughly 45 min. (20 min to an Amish family's farm and 20 min back). We stopped and shopped at the Amish... More

This was a fabulous buggy ride through the midst of the Amish countryside! Our driver, Barbara, was so knowledgeable. We learned so much about the Amish culture. The ride took us out through the back of Ed's farm to a road which passed many Amish farms. We turned into one farm where we saw the family buggy, the courting buggy,... More

We read reviews online and saw a lot of positive feedback for Ed's Buggy RIdes. We decided to take our young children and do a buggy ride. The owner assured us we would not be traveling on any busy roads. We left through a little back trail which was great- but lasted about 1 minute. The rest of the road... More

My family had a great time in their buggy rides. While you wait to set up the horses they have a small petting zoo with goats to keep the kids busy. The driver allowed my kids to sit up front with him and we went along the road and through a real farm and saw the Amish in action. I... More

My wife and I visited ed's buggies recently. Although it is not initially what we expected, we had a great time anyway . We thought the buggy ride would be given by an Amish person , but on weekends it is a mix of Amish and others. Actually I think we learned more about the Amish than if we would... More
