“A-L-L A-BOARD!” Cries out the conductor as the Stewartstown Railroad pulls out of the station on Authentic 1920’s era passenger coaches. Mighty Mo, a 1943 Gasoline-Powered locomotive roars in the distance as the engineer releases the brakes and fires up the engine. DING! DING! DING! goes the bell warning passers-by of her approach and to stay out of the way. Children and adults alike stir with excitement as the engineer blows the whistle. Sit back and relax as we take you for a ride on the historic Stewartstown Railroad.

Still under construction but it's cool to see them rebuilding history. Let's hope this keeps getting funding and connects to the New Freedom Steam Into History success story. Some cool history but not a lot to see right now. Pricey rides when they have them...More

The train ride is very short for the price paid. On the other hand the children were very pleased with the train ride. The person playing Santa left a lot to be desired but the woman playing Mrs. Clause was out of this world.

I have been there three times with family or friends. They are in the process of rehabilitating the railroad from Stewartstown to New Freedom. It is not an eyesore as just one reviewer claimed as beauty is always in the eye of the beholder. Railroads...More

Known as the NCR Trail. You bike or walk next to the antique railroad that ran all across pa and Maryland. It's a beautiful ride in the woods and over steams and rivers. Mostly flat as well so it's a pretty smooth ride. My favorite...More

Well, the Stewartstown Railroad has been a repeatedly on again, off again operation. Their buildings are the blight of Stewartstown as you approach from 851. I've been a resident of Stewartstown for over a decade, and each day I commute to work I must travel...More
