The falls were once maintained as an attraction, but a limited maintenance crew handling 35,000 acres managed for wildlife can no longer keep up with the repair and trash. That being said, it is now just a waterfall in the woods. Don't expect high maintenance,...More

We went on a hike in October and this place was gorgeous. So breathe taking and not an abundant amount of walking. Don’t park at the visitor Parking. Drive past it and over a little bridge. That will allow you to be up close in...More

This is a hidden gem that I only learned about recently. The falls became much more powerful after the Shohola Lake Dam was put in place, so that now they are impressive and beautiful cascades. The great part is that they are easily reached on...More

Very nice falls to see from the ledge or from the observation point on the other side of the lake. The parking lots are in need of some repair as well as the marking but its worth while.

Note - for access to the falls, go through the old "Shohola Falls Inn" entrance. A short trail and stairs will take you straight to the wonderful falls. Very peaceful with places to even sit. Trail to the falls is definitely less than a mile...More

My family and I, as well as a friend's family, stopped here while exploring waterfalls in the region. The waterfall here is just below the dam that forms Shohola Lake. It's a wide, cascade-style fall, that looks like it would be great to swim below...More

The lake looked beautiful I look forward to bringing my kayak to go exploring in the future. The falls were beautiful. I couldn't fit them all in one pic.

This beautiful natural area is not cared for by Pa game commisision fallen trees block trails, picnic tables are destroyed and the lands are filled with homeless people needing shelter. Not a good place to take young children, very scary experience for my grandchildren

Shohola Falls are not that well known and not particularly high, but wonderful nonetheless. To get there, take Route 6 West from Milford. After driving about 15 minutes, you will approach Shohola Lake and a bridge crossing Shohola Creek. Before you cross the bridge make...More
