The 5,286-acre Nockamixon State Park is in the rolling hills of scenic Bucks County, close enough to Philadelphia or a day trip, but far enough away for a vacation. Tohickon Creek, Three Mile Run, and Haycock Run feed the 1,450-acre Lake Nockamixon, which is a rest stop for migrating waterfowl and a destination for boaters and anglers. Visitors can stay the night in a cabin or enjoy the many activities of the park for the day. Popular activities are picnicking, swimming in the pool, hiking, biking, disc golf, hunting, fishing, and boating. Seasons and Hours: The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk. The park office is open specific hours. Fishing and boating is permitted 24 hours a day in designated areas. Some park areas are closed to vehicles in the winter. Contact the park office for facility seasons and hours.

We are so fortunate to live close to such an awesome park. There's boating, fishing, running and walking trails. The pool in the summer is a wonderful place to spend a hot day and cool off

I love just driving to the park in the fall to the various access points and taking pictures of the fall foliage changing colors.

I love everything about this park with the exception that they don't allow swimming in the lake. I don't understand why. They offer a swimming pool, but why have this beautiful, huge body of water and allow fishing, canoeing, kayaking and sailing, but not swimming? Doesn't seem fair to those of us who don't do those other activities. But other... More

Beautiful park. So much to do - many trails. Great playgrounds for the kids. Easy trails to walk or dirt trails through the woods!

The lake here at Nockamixon has 4 entry points for kayak/fishing. The main entrance near the Rangers office, has boat rentals as well! We take our kayaks out in this lake often. It is a large lake where we always see blue herons, egrets, turtles and deer. The park also offers a swimming pool and playground for use during the... More

This is the last weekend of the year for boat rentals. It was nice to see the lake. Walk a bit on the paved path, and have a picnic. Relaxing half day.
