Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Once again the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra gives a stellar concert. This one was with guest piano soloist as well as guest conductor and guest concertmaster, and these professionals make music as a unit.
Heinz Hall is a beautiful venue. Look up and around, view the adjacent lobby (not just the utilitarian lobby) and climb a set of stairs to look down. Elevator is available.

We are very fortunate in Pittsburgh to have one of the best symphonies in the country here in our hometown! My wife and I subscribe to the Pops series and enjoy the talented musicians and performers they bring in. Subscribing has been a great benefit, as they are very flexible allowing us to change concert dates either to another night in a concert weekend, or changing to another show altogether. We enjoyed the support Marvin Hamlisch gave the symphony and look forward to what his legacy holds in the future!

We frequently visit the Symphony Orchestra and have come to love the experience every time. Lately we've seen Holiday Pops and Rajaton sings Queen and often gift tickets to family as well! It's always nice to go see live arts and enjoy the beautiful building as well. It's nice that the shows are entertaining and humorous, too, instead of very rigid and serious.

Wishing they had a more formal dress code and a cloak room. Especially the more affordable seats get very crammed when you have to bring your winter coats and such in the auditorium.
Using the lavatory during intermission can be very frustrating, and sometimes I've even missed the beginning of the second part because it's been so crowded.

What an amazing performance! The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Rivers Ringers, the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, Ashley Brown, and Santa Claus provided extraordinary sounds of the season. This show was. Phenomenal!

Each week is a different concert but they are all first rate. We heard the Concerto for Left Hand and this was stunningly played by Mr. Chamayou. He acknowledged the standing ovation and then played Clair d'Lune using both hands. The Mendelssohn Choir and PSO performed Mass in C by Haydn with excellent soloists and lovely choir. Beautifully done. (During intermission we went upstairs to Grand Tier level and we jealous of their roomier seats.) We attended the pre-concert talk and liked that.

Everything about the Pittsburgh Symphony is perfect. Beautiful Heinz Hall is an excellent venue for hearing great music. The conductor, Manfred Honek, is a pleasure to watch, and the music itself is divine.

I took my girls ages 10 & 7 to an amazing symphony. It was my first as well. The musicians interacted before the show and made it special for them. Can’t wait to go back again for a Christmas show

We came to hear the Pittsburgh Symphony on our personal summer tour of outdoor symphony venues from Vail to the East Coast. This was the only one inside. We hear Vivaldi’s Four Seasons and it was a captivating experience with four 2nd violin soloists and words to the music. The assistant conductor was so enthused for his music, it shown throughout. The orchestra is really sounding world class!

We attended the Symphony gala for Rhapsody in Blue. The experience was fantastic. The Hall was easy to find. The parking was close and reasonable. The ushers were knowledgeable and very friendly. The music was incredible. We truly did not want the evening to end.

We just attended the latest PNC Pops music performed by the Pittsburgh Symphony. It was fantastic! Jack Everly is a great conductor. This was the Broadway Standing Ovations performance The four singers were outstanding but the performance of The Phantom of the Opera was jaw dropping. We are looking towards next months concerts. We drive n from central PA for the concert and have never been disappointed.
