My son and I made sure we packed our skates when we stayed downtown for the NHL outdoor game on 2/25/17. After hotel checkout and lunch, we were off to skate at the PPG outdoor ice rink. The rink is located near anything downtown you would want to see in Pittsburgh. Staff is friendly, and we like that the skating fee... More

We visited on Superbowl Sunday and it was charming to walk around the skating rink and watch the skaters circling the center statuary with the lighted topiaries, listening to the music, Very festive, then strolled around Market Square. A fun downtown outing with the Oyster House for lunch.

Truly part of the center of the city....this place is pretty awesome. 19000 panes of plate glass assemble, what some call, Pittsburgh's glass castle. Becomes part of the Christmas village. Beautiful tree and ice skating rink. Gingerbread contest on the inside of this massive glass art work.

Awe inspiring architecture. On a hot summer day you see children taking advantage of the water jets in the courtyard

Great place to visit for the holidays! Make sure to check out the ice rink and the gingerbread houses. It can be crowded, so plan carefully. Highly recommend!

We wandered down not expecting much and thoroughly enjoyed our evening. We wandered around the ginger bread house contest, checked out the "international Santa's" and took a spin around the ice skating rink. The tree was beautiful too.

Winter time at PPG Place is magical, around the corner is Market Square and the Christmas Market. While here is a beautiful Christmas tree in the center of an ice skating rink! Architecture is beautiful, must stop and see it!

Fun to visit in winter by the ice skating rink. They have a christmas display inside and a nice place to get cocoa or coffee and enjoy some warmth and holiday displays.

The tree and rink at night is magical. The reflection of the tree is reflected on other nearby buildings and looks beautiful. My son and I tried ice skating for the first time. The line to get in moved quickly and it seems to be organized chaos once in the skate rental shop. You can skate as long as you... More
