The USS Requin is a fantastic stop for all as part of the Carnegie Science Center, and almost a must-see for anyone interested in Naval history. Most of the submarine is open for visiting, and it is easy to spend at least an hour here...More

I really enjoyed touring the sub, it provided many historical facts and offered the experience of life on a sub many years ago.

Our 7 year old son loved to experience the submarine. He looked at every little space and had a lot of questions. The gentleman working was kind and answered all of them with great enthusiasm!

Take the tour, you won't regret it! Just the ability to walk around on a submarine is worth the trip! Don't forget to take a selfie in front of the torpedo!

The science center's exhibits are focused on very young children so it wasn't that enjoyable. However, the sub made up for it. Very interesting.

WWII submarine with guide in torpedo room answering questions. Interesting signage explaining things and memorabilia laid out. Included in Science museum ticket or can go separately. Recommend, especially with kids.

Really interesting. I would've enjoyed spending longer, though my kids got a lot out of our strolling-through visit. It's impressive as something to view and more impressive as something that reminds you what it takes/what it took to serve in a naval submarine.

You actually get to descend into the vessel, and view it as it was in 1945, The docents are extremely well versed on its history, as well as technical details.

A tour through the tight confines of a WWII sub may well make you glad you did not serve. Well preserved with interactive screens in each major compartment that gives great detail on life aboard the sub for its sailors. Accurate portrayal except it is...More

The center is closed "for renovations related to the new PPG Science Pavilion", according to the website. It should be open on your last day, the 14th, though. You can walk by and see the sub fine from the walking path... More

It's free with admission to the Science Center. I am not sure you can buy admission to *only* the USS Requin.
