As a grad of PITT I have always been fond of this building. Take a walk around the ground floor as well as the second and third floors. Don't forget to have a look at the nationality rooms. Lastly. make sure you take the elevator...More

The Nationality Rooms are located in the Cathedral of Learning building (looks like a big church) at the University of Pittsburgh. Self-guided audio tours are available daily until 2:30 pm from the visitor's center. The cost is $3 per adult. Pre-arranged guided tours are only...More

The Nationality Rooms at the Cathedral of Learning are wonderful, but even if you don't tour the rooms, the main hall is beautiful. I loved the medieval feel of the room!

This skyscraper sits between PITT and Carnegie Mellon. Very impressive outside, but we did not get a change to see it's interior and its' 20 Cultural Rooms. On our list for next time.

We only had time to visit the "free" classrooms upstairs, but there a lots more on the first floor that you pay a shopping $4 to visit with an audio tour. I can't wait to go back when they are all decorated for Christmas and...More

I'd go to school at Pitt just to hang out in the common space at the Cathedral of Learning! I am one of those people who enjoy visiting old university campuses in my travels and this place did not disappoint. It is a beautiful campus,...More

Beautiful old building. However, it is dark inside the building. Which is okay, because it was 100 degrees outside. And I'm sure the lack of windows on the first couple of floors helps keep the building cooler. The Nationality Rooms, in the Cathedral of Learning,...More

Beautiful and serene, gothic architecture and quiet. A great place for contemplation. If you're in the area stop in and see this place.

The Cathedral is pretty interesting and picturesque. It may not be worth a special trip, but if you're in the area, I would check it out.

I have been here twice and both were at Christmas when the nationality rooms are decorated with their own individual Christmas decorations. The decor of the main hall of the Cathedral and the ethnic rooms are interesting to hear about. I would not necessarily recommend...More

We went here on a field trip with Cyber school so we had a guide. It was very interesting to see how different cultures would set up rooms. There was a lot of beautiful woodwork. Some rooms were in use so we couldn't see them...More

The Cathedral is only open until 4 PM because it is used for classrooms. Never dinners. Weekends the vending machines are available but the food court is not open for hot meals.
