We took our son along during our recent visit as we felt it was something he simply needed to see. All the different rooms and being allowed to walk in them is well worth the hour or so you could spend there.

We like to visit the Cathedral of Learning during Christmas, and it's an especially good place to bring guests from out of town at this time. Each classroom represents a nation, and is decorated for Christmas. Truly a unique experience.

See Nationality Rooms. Beautiful to see. Across from Museum of Art and Natural History, walking distance to Phipps Conservatory.

Look for the tours offered at Christmas time when all of the ethnic rooms are open and there are students in costume giving much information. There are also food vendors and ethnic music groups. A fun day for all ages!

Be sure to check out the nationality rooms tour. Each room is decorated for a different country/nationality. I like going at Christmas time because rooms are decorated for Christmas in a way that is common for each country. Very interesting for middle school ages and...More

The Cathedral is only open until 4 PM because it is used for classrooms. Never dinners. Weekends the vending machines are available but the food court is not open for hot meals.
