fun seeing the view from both inclines and this one is just a short ride from the bars and restaurants on Carson St, where choice is hard to make

Round trip was $3.50. You buy the transit ticket at the bottom; one trip with a transfer gets you up and back. The view from the top at night is beautiful!

Great experience and worth the price. Great views at the top and the ride was an experience. The oldest incline in Pittsburgh

When you enter the station you will purchase your ticket from a machine. Read the directions about children; you will pay for them at the top when you exit. It is a slow ride up, so you have plenty of time to take pictures.

If you are headed to Mt Washington, take the incline. Imagine you just completed a shift at a steel mill and you are heading back home for dinner, because that's what the incline was used for back in its heyday.

Historic old incline (funicular railway) that takes you from the riverside across from downtown to the top of the high and steep Mt. Washington cliff with an excellent view of the city in many directions. A whole lot less nerve-wracking than driving to the top....More

Guess this is iconic Pittsburgh. It was $3.50 round trip, great views from the top and good restaurants about a mile down. Truly get a feel for when the rivers were the hub of activity in the late 1800's. We just walked across the bridge...More

The Mon incline is a must visit for any tourist. Exceptional view of the city and a fun ride up and down the hill. The incline is clean and safe but make sure to bring $$ as paying can be tough at times. Nice little...More

We usually ride the Duquesne incline on our many trips to PGH over the years. Decided to try this one as it's a little more convenient to station square as well as shops and restaurants on Shiloh Street. Haven't been in a few years but...More

This is a great ride for $3.50 round trip. It will take up mount Washington and it offers great views of the Steel City. We took at night and it was worth every penny. Highly recommended.

If you are planning on using the subways or busses, you can buy a day pass at the machine, also. It was $7 last time I went and you can ride the inclines and busses and subways all you want that day. You will love the... More
