It's a great place to spend a couple of hours. You'll need at least two if you're doing the informative house tour and taking the time to eat at the cafe. The cafe has really great food! I also recommend going to the carriage house to look at the old Ford cars and horse carriages. They even let you sit... More

What a wonderful place to visit. We had a guide who really knew what he was talking about, and we could tell he loved talking about this house. A guide like this makes all the difference when you visit historical places. A lovely story he told us, about the Frick family, it was as if they became alive in our... More

The car and carriage museum is very cool and free! One recommendation for them - put explanations about the cars at eye level instead of on the ground in small print where they are difficult to read. The art museum is also free and very impressive! The Clayton was $46 for my family to tour. I loved seeing it and... More

This was something we found on google. it has a good art collection and car collection. They are both free. The tour of the mansion has a fee. It was a neat place to visit to understand historic Pittsburgh more.

The Frick is a great place to visit! Make sure to check out the rotating exhibits. Fridays at the Frick are great in the summer, and the the house is beautiful around the holidays!

I was in Pittsburgh for work, and try to visit at least one historic home whenever I travel. This was a true gem for an art lover like myself! It is a lot more than just the home, Clayton. There is a car & carriage museum, greenhouse, cafe, and of course, the art museum. The tour guides do a great... More

Have lived in Pittsburgh for a long time and finally did the Clayton House tour; so glad I did. The tour guide was excellent and the house was impressive from the first room you enter until the last. I plan to go back during the non-holiday season to see and learn more. The art museum was worth a visit and... More

A visit to The Frick Pittsburgh offers the opportunity for an excellent meal at the Café (my shaved rib-eye sandwich was spectacular) and the current exhibition, The Frick Collects: From Rubens to Monet. Two different sensory experiences rolled into one! It's probably sad that only Pittsburghers are likely to experience such excellence.

I found the vehicle museum the more interesting of the two. Nice house and grounds and you can take a walk into Frick park from here.

We recently visited the Frick museum on a Sunday afternoon. The variety and size was just right. Started with the tour of the Victorian Frick home. It was well maintained and many rooms open to see. Our guide was excellent. Followed that with the self guided tours of the carriage and car museum which was nice 30 piece collection. Lastly,... More
