We enjoyed a morning at the Frick. It was a rainy day- but the grounds are still beautiful. We paid to go through the museum- and then planned to eat at the cafe. Reservations are advised!! But they kindly squeezed us in. Good food- and...More

We did not tour the entire complex. We only went to the art museum to see the special exhibit from the Victoria & Albert on fashion through underwear. There’s a surprisingly large amount of clothing on display, which goes beyond underwear in the narrow sense...More

The art museum is free except special exhibits. The art is limited but quite good. It isn't its sister in Manhattan but it is still nice. The Jacobin room is gorgeous with 400 year old wood paneling. The grounds are also stunning.

We just visited the Frick Art Center. It is always such a wonderful day. The gardens and the museum were lovely on a warm fall day. If you haven't been there it's a must. We go everytime they change exhibits. Unforunately, the restaurant is not...More

The food was good, but not great. The settings is lovely and the mansion tour make the trip very worthwhile.

Our 13 year old niece was fascinated with life depicted in Clayton, and in the Historical Center. The display of the cars is favorite of ours, and seems to be something all ages can enjoy.

While at the Truck in Pittsburgh, be sure to explore the beautiful grounds, greenhouse and small art collection. Most importantly though, make sure you take a tour of the fully furnished, extravagant home, Clayton, where you can see how the wealthy once lived. Very interesting!

It's an old home, very nice, with the claim to fame of mostly-original furnishings. Other than that, our memory will be several guards (and the docent) who wore gloves and didn't want to you to touch ANYTHING. We respect that, but their demeanor was over...More

Took a visit to the Frick Home, Carriage house and art museum. The tour of the home and carriage house was quite interesting and well worth the time. The art museum was just OK; no special exhibit at this time.

If you have the time and do not have an auto with you, you can actually take a bus from downtown to the Frick estate. If you're a senior, there is no cost at all. You must allow at least an hour each way, and while the... More
