First of all, riding the GAP/C&O trails is an experience of a lifetime. I did a round trip over about two weeks (ending Labor Day weekend). The help from Bike the Gap in making this bucket list adventure a reality was incredulous. Sara is marvelous and invaluable. Within about 48 hours, Sara had completely laid out an itinerary tailored to... More

We parked our car in Cumberland and Bike the GAP arranged for a van to transport us to Pittsburgh. Our driver had a wealth of information and it was a great way to start our trip. The maps and information provided by Bike the GAP was informative and easy to read and our hotels/B&B were top rate. Best of all,... More

This trip was fantastic and more than we would have expected. The trail is easy to ride, scenic and tranquil, and the towns are delight. We recommend you take your time and plan on side adventures and pause to read the many historic placards along the way. Do not skip Ohiopyle--hikes, waterfalls and Frank Lloyd Wright houses to see. We're not avid bikers, but we were able to handle the trail. The views and scenery were amazing during the first week of October. The weather was cool and crisp with mornings in the 50s. Throughout the trail we met various bikers that were very friendly, courteous, and polite. The restaurant suggestions provide by Bike the Gap were great and... More

I took the trip on my own from Pittsburg to Washington DC in 9 days. I would humbly suggest that for me at least, this was a life-altering trip. I never had any problems the entire way, not even a flat tire. I made a number of friends on the trip, some of whom I have already met up with... More

We did the GAP in 4 days from Pittsburgh to Cumberland. Can't say enough great things about this trip. Bike the Gap arranged for all accommodations, shuttled our gear and provided a shuttle back to Pitt at the end. Super easy process and affordable. The accommodations were great, people were nice every where and the trails are beautifully maintained. You... More
