This is a relatively cheap attraction. The lady who works the ticket counter was no treat. It was as if she's been there since the place opened and has never gotten to go home. A robot would have been more friendly. The view was nice....More

One of my favorites attractions in Pittsburgh. We took the T from downtown to Station Square, walked a couple blocks, and boarded the Duquesne Incline. There are wonderful maps of all of the downtown buildings and their names inside the station There are three levels...More

Really! But boy are the cars *old*. Not to mention the trestle supports! Lord knows about the cables! The ride up was like something of the interior of a 1920’s cable car! Old wooden construction. Metal weaving windows and Plexiglas windows with bit holes cut...More

Best time to go up is before sunset and come down after the sunsets to see the city lit up - this is great also for history buffs - small museum w self guided tour - it is close to 150 years old !

If you con't have exact change, you can get dollar coins and quarters for your bills from a machine. It's a short two minute ride up the incline to the top of Mount Washington. Once up there, be sure to look around the station area...More

We rode the incline as kids on our trips to the "Big City"...to clarify, we only lived about 15 minutes outside of the city! Haha! I still enjoy a good incline ride (a few) years later. It is a great way to see the city...More

Who would have expected that the huge wheels that operate the wires on this are at a 90-degree angle from the tram? And that they have lasted for so many years. This is fun to ride, as you get an excellent overview of the city,...More

Took a trip up the incline to go to a restaurant we were dining at. People with us thought it was really a unique experience which I suppose it is.

The employees are very rude. We waited in line for 45 minutes right next to a highway. Not very safe to stand in line.

We parked in the shopping center parking lot. It was very convenient. I don't remember that the parking cost very much. Hope that helps.

It's mostly residential at the top, and my recollection is that parking might be limited. Park in the lot at the bottom, ride up, exit the station and turn to your right. Walk about a quarter mile and there is a phenomenal... More
