Too many people with too many unattended children. It's like camping in a playground. Great for RVs, families, kids. Not so great for tents, solitude-seekers, nature lovers. Park trails are good, area is beautiful. Not what we expect from Pennsylvania.

Prince Gallitzen isn't really close to Pittsburgh so that is misleading. It sits on the edge of the Allegheny plateau around a medium sized man-made? lake. The area is not built up much but there are local eating places & ice cream stands. The park...More

We absolutely love it here! We do a lot of fishing and the boat launches are easy to navigate. The camping facilities are great and they are wooded areas for the true camping experience. The swimming areas are also very nice and there are more...More

Spent a weekend here recently and LOVED this park! Park rangers and staff were some of the friendliest I've encountered, and they were very visible throughout the park. My kids participated in a bicycle safety program that Ranger Rich conducted - wow, great job, Rich!...More

If you look in the dumpster at the end of the weekend, you'll see bags of beer cans. I have heard of people getting in trouble but if you put it in something like an insulated coffee mug you should be fine.
