I tell everyone that they should visit. It's not a difficult walk but if you want a more challenging hike there are other paths that you can take. When you get to the view you want to take a ton of pictures because it's amazing!

This was a short little hike to a beautiful overlook. Please note that if you are driving north the turn off can be tricky because of the traffic. The parking lot is small and you come on it quickly. Tennis shoes worked fine, but the hike does begin with a small climb up a rocky trail before it levels off.... More

We had a great walk up to Chickies Rock County Park main overlook. It was a simple incline in regular shoes and rewarded us with lovely views.

It was about a 0.6 mile walk from the parking on Rt 441. Not a hard walk. Kids were out on the cliffs smoking and hanging out. It's a pretty view overlooking the Susquehanna, but we've seen others just as nice.

We enjoyed hiking and walking around this beautiful area along the Susquehanna River. Chickies Rock overlook offers great views from high above the river. You can also park at the Breezyview Overlook and hike down to the Heritage Trail, which is a paved trail that has some historical markers and a few ruins relating to the iron industry of the... We had a beautiful February day so my wife and I visited Chickies Rock. We've heard about it but it was our first visit. The Riverview and Heritage Trails provided some enjoyable hiking/walking.

My husband and I went here on an afternoon "date". We went to the first parking place and this was not correct for the overlook (it's the 2nd parking place). After we parked at the 2nd parking place, we walked to the overlook and enjoyed the view! I will definitely return with my teen girls!

Ten years ago this had a great overlook where you could see the whole valley, complete with bridges crossing the susquehanna river, and across the river to York, PA. I was there a while back and the trees had really overgrown and obscured that amazing view. We went to watch fireworks there in 2015 and couldn't even see past the... More

We loved the short hike and enjoyed the stunning view. We went right before sunset. The signs were a little confusing, but we figured it out. Though it was beautiful to see the sky right before sunset, the sun was super bright and it was hard to look at the sky and its reflection in the water. Bring sunglasses.

The view from here is fabulous, watching the sun drop down towards the river, framed by woods on each side. My kids loved the freight train that went by the base of the overlook while we were there.
