I was traveling to Ligonier with a fiddle student for the Ligonier Highland games. This place had high reviews from the TripAdvisor community. It was interesting but not outstanding. We did not pay for a guided tour which might have been more interesting. There were several small but well done museums presenting the historical aspects. Overall it was okay but... More

Amazing place where the French and Native Americans with overwhelming numbers were defeated by British forces including Colonel Washington The museum is wonderful but our highlight was talking to the glassblower who replicates the glass wear used in the mid 1700's

Been going here for forty years. It's one of the best historic sight you can visit. So much to learn and lots of fun.

Took my kids i watch...twice. I loved the history lesson! The kids enjoyed the cannons and fort itself. Good exercise walking through fort as well as great museum to sit and watch history videos and see antiques. Loved it.

My family and I came to the Ligonier area to originally go to Idlewild and got rained out by some pretty bad storms coming through the area. We started looking for different things in the area to do for the following day before we headed home, and decided on Fort Ligonier. Very awesome experience, staff was all very kind and... More

Great educational experience for the whole family! My 6 year old loved exploring the outdoor fort area and the gift shop. This is a must see if you are in the area!

Definitely plan on spending 2-3 hrs to go through this attraction! The fort itself is well recreated and a new interpretive center is being built. In August, you can spend the night at the fort as part of a special presentation. The museum portion takes the longest because there are so many well-detailed exhibits and items on display. Including George... More

This place is cool. Education abounds, but it's interestingly presented, with continuous improvements always being made. Enjoy!

They really did a good job in recreating the fort. Educational and looks like kids really enjoy themselves. They are building an addition to the learning center which should be awesome when it's done.
