The West Shore Market has been in business for decades and offers many food items and cheap stuff for sale. There's a variety of merchandise; some things that are sold there, you wouldn't think would be for sale. The market has two floors and you do have to take the stairs. There's just so much to see, and there's not... More

it was an impromptu stop but was well worth it. first stop Uncle George's Kitchen for a fried fish special to go. $10 lunch for two! fresh fish lightly battered sandwich with fresh cut french fries and cole slaw. highly recommend eating before walking the farmers market. stopped across the way from uncle george's for some meatballs&beef bourgogne. meatballs were... I love the selection of fresh foods from local producers. Vegetables and fruits, baked goods, meats and prepared foods are offered for sale. The mix of smells from the various vendors, the farmers and crowds make this a lively spot. Get there early because it gets very crowded. I love to have an early breakfast sometimes cooked at one of... More

Visited for Christmas shopping, and was able to find some unique gifts not seen anywhere else locally. Specifically, was able to get a custom made Christmas ornament with a picture of my son's dog. Reasonably priced as a custom ordered, hand painted gift!

Large selection of local produce and meat as well as many locally made products. There is very little that you can't get here. You can get virtually any kind of produce or meat, fish, or poultry at this market and avoid going to the grocery store if you wish. Many vendors also have prepared foods. There are also a number... When visiting a living in Harrisburg area for number of years I was introduced to this wonderful market. Years before I lived in metro Philadelphia and was a mainstay at the Reading Market. In size and scope Reading is much larger but West Shore Farmers Market has wonderful shopping opportunities. The only have one seafood market and one cheese vendor... More

I was a little disappointed in this market. I expected more local produce. I think there was only one produce stand. There was a local (York) vineyard, several Deli's, a bakery, candy stand and several restaurant vendors. We ate at the pizza place and it was GREAT pizza. We will be back for the pizza.

This is a great market with lots of variety. You can get a meal, fresh produce and meat, baked goods, flowers and candy. The soft pretzels are so good! There are also some great specialty shops upstairs.

Thank Polly T
