We stopped in here on Sunday and were just in time for a tour. The tour guide was very knowledgable and had a clear respect for Amish and their culture. She was very engaging, frequently made the group laugh, and gave us new tidbits of Amish life that I had not known. We did not do the bus tour but... More

First this is a replica and more like a museum of how the Amish live. This is not an actual working farmhouse, and those that are thinking that and writing bad reviews have no concept of reality. Again this is more about history and way of life, a great learning experience for the entire family. With that said they do... More

Thank you so much for your very thorough and positive review. We are so happy you enjoyed yourself here at the Amish Farm and House. Please let us assure you, that we always try to educate parents of very young children (younger than school age) that the House tour is a 45 minute tour of an authentic Amish farmhouse where... We were very disappointed and did not enjoy this tour, because there was nothing interesting in this place. When we were here in 1986 there was a lot to see, and everything was interesting and informative. Now this is only a tourist trap in the middle of shopping centers. No charme, no Amish! Not worth to stop!

We are sorry to hear that you weren't pleased with your visit, and wished you had let us know BEFORE you left. Judging by your review it doesn't sound like you took advantage of any of our guided tour options, and maybe just took the self guided farm tour, which of course during this time of the year is not... A complete tacky tourist trap! Avoid! Nothing to see here. Not worth the time and money. 2 stars because our speaker was very patient and informative.

We are glad you found your speaker VERY PATIENT and INFORMATIVE. Because of this very positive comment, I am a little baffled about the rest of your review and the heading. Had you let us know BEFORE you left our establishment, we would have been more than happy to help make your visit a more pleasant one. More

Had a group 100 8th graders and parents from the south. The tour was well organized and informative. This was the first time most on the tour were exposed to the Amish. I am not sure what the price was, but it was great. I would recommend for all groups.

If you really want to enjoy an Amish House just tour the farmlands or try the tour from the Amish Suites This farm was not "real". The house is one of the original amish sites from years ago but not realy the same

My 8 year loved the house tour and learned a couple of facts of Amish Life. The 5 year was just happy walking around the house and the farm. This was out first time in Amish country and we learned some interesting facts as well. We may go back in a 4 to 5 years so the little guy gets... More

Took the family here during our day trip. I remeber 20+ years ago it was an attraction with no neighbors. Just an authentic Amish house and farm. Now....Super Target practically in their parking lot. Very disappointing how commercialized this area has become. It is not the same. The house and farm tour was educational. It had the kids attention. They... More

I learned a lot from my visit here. You can tour the farm and you can see so much of the Amish culture. The bus tour was superb, the tour guide was a really nice guy and he knew so much about the Amish people and their culture. I learned so many things from the bus tour. You could ask... More
