I visited this with family and, as we had limited time in the area, opted out of other attractions to come here. In retrospect, I wish we had given this a miss and gone to one of the other attractions. The presentation was pretty dry...More

The free showing of the 17 minute movie "Postcards from a Heritage of Faith" nicely introduces the Amish and Mennonites. The interesting free mini Mennonite museum is part of the gift shop. Since this movie and the museum display were free, they are worth a...More

We were so excited to find they had a tabernacle re-creation. It was a total waste. You cannot actually see and touch anything. You are talked to for forty minutes and I fell asleep during part of the tour.

The life-size tabernacle reconstruction is interesting, but the 45 minute tour needs an update.

Stay off the commercial tours, take this personalized tour instead. We took a two hour tour of Amish country with one of the guides from the Mennonite Information Center. Dave was our guide and was remarkable. He knew the history of the area, the religious...More

This small, but very interesting information center/museum is a must do when starting out your exploring of Lancaster County. The staff was attentive, informative and helpful.
