We went in there. The staff were very Covid conscious and safe. Above all though they were EXCEPTIONALLY helpful. A young guy served us (i feel bad for not remembering his name)... but he was excellent! Knew which sights were closed due to Covid and even recommended alternative activities. In the actual centre itself you could buy a wide range of local produce including jams and wines! A great place to start your visit in Young!

It also happens to be the place of the big cherries!

What an Interesting Place

We could have spent all day looking over this museum. There is a story in every exhibit so we only touched the surface in a couple of hours. The story of the pioneering White family was my highlight.

Great layout in a beautiful old building and easy access parking. The staff are terrific, super friendly and well informed. Worth visiting for the local wares and souvenirs and it's right by the Big Cherries.

Really interesting place to start in Young
Nov. 2019 • Couples
This is a great visitor center to visit. The Saturday market is held in its car park area. The staff are very helpful. There is a room showcasing the area and its produce and an additional room with wines from about a dozen nearby wineries for sale. They have a booklet with information for the street walk with insights to the past based mainly on the main street. The heritage walk takes you through more of the town and can be walked or driven. It is well worth doing, with some very interesting history insights.
