We certainly received the ‘royal treatment’ from Peter and Cath Mullany at our recent cellar door tasting. Their passion for their wines was obvious as we sampled their range. We especially loved the naming of their wines after their offspring. Looking forward to returning during ‘pick your own cherries’ season to complete the Ballinaclash experience.

We spent the most beautiful morning wandering around the farm picking cherries, enjoying their delicious homemade cherry ice-cream and stocking up on goodies such as their famous cherry pies, wine, quince paste, cherry cordial and all sorts of jams and relishes. So many gorgeous things to buy at such affordable prices.

We took comfy walking shoes, hats, bottles of water and pushed our baby in the pram (its very accessible). They have really nice and clean toilets for your convenience and the kids had such a lovely time.

I loved watching through their viewing window at the chefs as they cooked their pies from scratch and the kids loved watching this also.

The staff are all so friendly and welcoming, we cannot wait to come back! We look forward to making a trip to Ballinaclash an annual event in the lead up to Christmas.

A large commercial enterprise with cherries and other fruits. Their online booking system was efficient and real-time. Pick-your-own cherry prices were in line with other nearby orchards at $8/kg.
I didn't get the opportunity to try any of their wines or the ice cream.
Staff were friendly though not all of them seemed to be familiar with the varieties of cherries that were in the orchard.
I felt that out of the 3 orchards I visited in the Wombat/Young region this season, the cherries at Ballinaclash were the most watery and had the least sweetness. Naturally this depends on the variety that is being offered for picking at any given moment, and to their credit, this orchard had a few white flesh cherry trees hidden amongst their crop - presumably these were Rainiers, or possibly Napoleons.
Upon arrival, my booking was confirmed, I was given a bucket and given directions to drive up to the orchard. I would have liked to have the rows marked with the cherry varieties so that I knew exactly what I was picking, but I understand this is not always common or practical. Anyway, a pleasant afternoon was spent here. They do have coach parking spaces so I'd be a little wary of visiting if I saw a chinese tour bus parked there, but luckily there was no such annoyance during my visit!

We have been visiting Ballinaclash every year for the last 3 years & going again in 2020. We have a lot of fun picking cherries, & apricots & buying some of their delicious produce and wines. In 2019 we introduced our friends to this weekend adventure, they’re all hooked and will be returning. The staff are friendly and helpful. Well worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Beautiful huge orchard with many trees of two variety of cherries. We located via following drive where a staff member drove up to take us to the chosen area ready for picking, was given a bucket to use as a plastic bag support which can be held supported over your arm instead of just a plastic bag that could rip open .
Was such a fun self pick of cherries where a number of other public pickers drove up also to and when you’ve decided you’ve picked as much as you want to take home the final cost per kg was awesome compared to what I have been paying from a usual suburban fruit shop at this start of season.

This is the cherry farm I will be going to for a fruit pick again next time hoping the peaches will be available also to pick

Fantastic place to go and absolutely lovely staff. Their Rose was the surprise of the day, it's not normally something we would buy. Great hospitality, and it was so nice to support a true family business. Please stop by and try, you won't be disappointed.

We stopped here due to all the signage.

The cherry picking was ok but much busier than other places.

The cherry pie looks amazing but we would rate it a 5/10. Not all that tasty and the pastry is not fabulous. Although it’s great to see them make it in house - even though they should have be wearing hygienic clothing/cooking attire.

The cherry ice cream is nice.

Sorry you were disappointed in our pie. Our aim is to showcase the cherries that we have grown and prepared here at Ballinaclash, so we avoid adding extra flavours and spices.I can assure you though our kitchen practices are very hygienic.
