Urunga is a bit of a hidden gem itself, especially being completely bypassed by the through traffic, but it is well worth a visit or a stay. On a quick drive into Urunga, it is easy to miss the boardwalk despite it being very accessible....More

This is an amazing walk out over the mangroves to the ocean. You can read the history of the coast on the way out as well as watch the kangaroos feeding.

The boardwalk is an easy stroll, and lovely to do in the early morning or late afternoon. The kids enjoyed looking over the edge to spot crabs, fish and other sea creatures.
