Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Exploring the region and found this neat little private museum. For the owner operators it is a real credit and lots of local history items displayed. The owner was really interesting to chat with his enthusiasm and knowledge was excellent. Pleased I went there

This is a must, from George to Elvis the Vickie. What an amazing collection of memorabilia, this museum is a credit to George. Get directions from the tourist bureau not the GPS. Highly recommend this museum and make sure you have a good couple hours.

Highly recommend visiting Chrysties Museum if you are in Cobram- Barooga / Yarrawonga-Mulwala area along the Mighty Murray in VIC/NSW. And if you get to meet Mr John Chystie, it is the icing on the cake. Reasonable entry fee [$per adult and children free] unlocks a treasure trove if classic cars, trucks, caravans and a memorablia of Aussie life spanning decades. John has yarns to spin, experiences to share and with his open mind wants to hear your story as well. It is an honour and privilege to meet a humble hero with a big heart. And do not miss photos of Baldo, his hairless cockatoo!
Best wishes John for health and happiness. Keep up your good work.

Look it’s not everyone’s thing but if you like a walk down memory lane and vintage cars and caravans and other collectables it’ll keep you occupied for awhile. My kids were pretty interested in all the things for about an hour and a half. You need to remember it’s a private collection not the Louvre. The owners passion and knowledge were contagious. Although the surprising highlight was the featherless cocky. Be sure to say hello to him!

Its a shame Christie's Museum is listed as one ofthe area's attractions because it was an untidy collection of a few interesting items amidst a lot of junk. Poorly displayed and the $5 cost too much for what it is.
Would rather spend time along the Murray River.

This place is just incredible. You can't imagine what is inside these huge sheds. Pristine antique cars, caravans, dolls, coins, tools, signs and the list goes on. It's like a place you would see on 'pickers' and the owners are obviously passionate. $5 entry and kids free. It's an easy 4.5 km from town. Pretty well signposted. Just wander around and imagine how this collection has been gathered! Really lovely owners. Retired up here from Melbourne. A must see place.

Once we located the place we were amazed at the variety of objects in the collection. You name it, it's probably there. An extensive collection of old tools/cars/ furniture/ bottles/ caravans etc...etc. Well worth a visit and very inexpensive at $5 for adults, kids free. The only problem we had was the dust, as the property is on a dirt road but this museum is well worth a visit.
