Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Like the initiative by local town women in 1967 to fund raise, build Australia’s second “big thing” at time, and draw in more tourism. Nice statue for a photo. I’m sure a fisherman or two has kissed it too (my lips remained away).

A nice photo opportunity on the river bank. It’s right near some good restaurants/cafes, little shops and op shops. The pub isn’t far away either. A little bit of a grass area for a picnic as well

This is just a bit of fun...something to show the kids, or to have a photo opportunity. The cod is is a large Australian predatory freshwater fish. The Murray cod is an important part of Australia's vertebrate wildlife—as an apex predator in the Murray-Darling River system—and also significant in Australia's human culture. The Murray cod is the largest exclusively freshwater fish in Australia, and one of the largest in the world.

So it has a good reason to be here in town... it's important to our biodiversity. IF you are in the area, take the opportunity to get a photo.

I love a Big Thing. This one has to be one of the better ones. When built, it was Australia's second Big Thing (behind Big Banana in Coffs Harbour I believe).

Australia has a penchant for oversize metal models of fruit and here is a large representation of the Murray Cod. It is just opposite several cafes and along from the Tourist information building and further along the road a good play area for children.
