Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

There was only one pelican that turned up on the day we went. The organisers of the pelican feeding said the day before there was no pelicans turned up.
still went on and explained about the pelicans.

Feeding times are open again. See the times. There is a brand NEW Eco-friendly Pelican Educational Experience at The Entrance. Pelican Time with Marine Wildlife Central Coast is on every weekend at 3:30pm, plus school holidays and public holidays.

I have never seen pelicans before (since there are no pelicans in the Philippines). I would say they're majestic birds. I never expected them to be that big with a mouth that can swallow a medium (or large) size fish. They can be rowdy during feeding time but so elegant when they float on water. Amazing pelicans indeed.

Fun watching the pelicans being fed. Funny how they slowly start to arrive near feeding time. Some are happy to wait in the water while others come onto the shore

The Pelican feed has been cancelled due to COVID-19 restrictions. However you can still view the pelicans in their natural surroundings. You may also see the wildlife rescuers aournd enticing them in with fish to check their health and to ensure they are free from fishing line and hooks.

We watched from the front row and was great. Highly recommend!
To get the front row we arrive arround 3:10pm, the announcer was already gathering people. At 3:30pm they start feeding the pelicans. All the 50 minutes we spend there we learned a few things about Pelicans and extra infos about the animal life in the area. It was for free but if you go, remember to leave a donation. They definitely deserved.

We walked here from our accommodation as it's supposed to be the No. 1 attraction in The Entrance. I understand the activity is operated by volunteers.
We watched with our 5-year old for about 5 minutes after which she asked to leave.
We had a great deal of trouble trying to hear the information the presenter was saying due to the poor sound of the PA system. Also, we didn't see any audience participation. Maybe it's dangerous.
This "attraction" is OK if you're staying in town but don't drive a long way to see it. Had we done this we'd have been disappointed.

We are sorry to hear you did not have a positive experience during your visit to the Pelican Feed. The PA system is reasonably new, but we will keep an eye on this to make sure there is no issue with the system. When we have strong winds, unfortunately this can interfere a little. We do encourage the Volunteers to keep a safe distance, when possible, between the public and the pelicans as they are wild birds. Our volunteers do their very best to ensure the pelican feed is delivered in a safe manner, both to the public and the pelicans. We thank you and appreciate you providing us feedback.

The place is great Families with young kids. There’s a play area for little ones and rides for my older kids. Pelican feeding is great experience for kids and adults too. Food store is accessible and parking is free.
