Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The walk up The Skillion certainly gets the heart pumping and it’s a great bit of exercise. To make it a little easier there is a concrete pathway with seats if you need to rest. When you get to the top the view is spectacular. Up and down the coastline and across Terrigal. Well worth the visit.

Kids flew up as I did when I was young. Struggled a little in my old age, but made it. Nice to get up there and see the view of our surroundings

I had the good fortune to climb up to various Lookouts along the coastline on my two week trip down from Brisbane to Sydney. My friend in Terrigal took me to a couple of them close to where he lives (lucky man). The Skillion provides yet another opportunity to marvel at the majestic Pacific Ocean and look down on Terrigal beach. ,

What I like about many of the paths and coastal walkways is that while they are sometimes quite steep, there are convenient handrails and steps for the more adventurous parts of the way. And if the day is warm and sunny with plenty of blue sky, there is no better way to spend your time than visiting places such as this.

The new pathway around the rocks at Terrigal makes it an easy and pleasant walk to the Skillion. Be prepared for a steep walk hip the hill - but well worth it for the view.

A leisurely climb up hill with good views. Decided needed to have a walk and see a top tourist attraction in the area and recommend it. Footpath with handrail and stairs.

This is a straightforward, fairly easy walk up to the large headland (ie The Skillion) south from Terrigal Beach. If you do find it tough going, along the way there are several park benches on which you can take a breather. You'll be rewarded with some lovely coastal views, not just from The Skillion itself but along the entire pathway. I was particularly intrigued and impressed by the headland's multiple rock strata that were exposed here, as well as the extensive rock platform, clearly made up of a much harder rock that has long resisted the ocean's surging power.

Great views at this location over the ocean and back to the beaches make this one of the best spots on the Central Coast. Plenty of opportunities to walk around the various paths to get the views and more importantly, a good degree of exercise by doing it. Well worth the effort of visiting this nature location.

This is an easy enough walk. Not too steep, not too long. It is very well maintained, with a wide concrete path and steps.

The view is okay. Nothing more, nothing less. Really nothing I haven't seen at any other headland.

The highlight for me was seeing the kids playing cricket on the oval at the bottom, a very picturesque ground.

Wish I hadn’t been wearing jeans but persevered & made it to the top (thank God for benches along the way)! Lovely view once you get there & much easier on the way back down! Just do it.
