Overview
More
The Temora Railway Museum was officially opened in 2016 in the fully restored station buildings that date back to 1893. The Museum is open by appointment and staffed by knowledgeable and dedicated volunteer train buffs. Much of the building's interior remains as it was when it was a functioning passenger station. It now houses a well-presented collection of railway memorabilia.

Excellent range of exhibits and history from through the ages. Even a friendly, although sleepy cat to greet us, ducks on the pond too. Aboriginal exhibition from the area excellent and well managed. Coffee shop was good too.

Its small but well done, and a great tribute to the people who have made it what it is today. A part of the history of the town.

The museum spreads across a very large parcel of land. It has been filled with local memorabilia but anyone from the country will recognise the equipment and articafts on display. A good visit.

Temora just keeps doing it, a fabulous use by Council of a repurposed Railway Station. The building is original but tastefully refurbished for meetings and community use as well as a small rail museum. If you are interested in trains don't miss it!

The motel is very close to the historic railway station at Temora. An additional highlight was seeing a large grain train hauled by 4 C class locomotives proceed through.
