Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No litter on the sand, no seaweed in the water, crystal clear 22 degree water, great waves constantly rolling in for body bashing, life guards on duty, change rooms & some nearby shops for when you get hungry or thirsty.
What’s not to like about the protected southern end of Tathra beach.

Kids loved it. Clean. Gentle slope and medium sized waves made Boogie Boarding fun. Small walk for food /snacks etc. Some rocks to explore as well.

we went in early April at easter, water was maybe 18-20 degrees - fresh, it poured rain the previous night and some leaf and branch matter made it out of the river 3km north into the surf but the day before it was great good body surfing waves.

Beautiful beach with great surf for kids and families although it was quite rough a couple of days we were there. Nice views and good spot for a walk.

Huge beach which stretches all the way up to North Tathra and the dog friendly parts but the safest & family friendly section is the southern point out front of the Tathra SLSC. In season with Council lifeguards and Clubbies on weekends & holidays.
Can be beset with some strong rips in other areas, so beware & keep a good lookout. Went several times and loved every minute as it's a great beach & a lovely walk as well.

Tathra Beach is another fantastic south coast beach that is well worth seeking out. Grab some fish and chips from across the road and enjoy a great lunch in a great location.
