Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

A gap between the cliffs gets you to this wonderful beach with dramatic character. Standing at the centre, the ocean to the front, the gap to the back, and the rain forest to sides up and above on the rocky cliffs is an experience.

A wonderful secluded beach that we visited on New Years Day. It's a short 15 minute drive from Tathra - and you will need to bring $8 (in cash) to pay for visiting the Bournda National Park (where it's located). The beach is a 50 metre beach, bordered by 30 metre cliffs, leaving just a 10 metre gap between them. This creates an intimate and well protected beach which is easily accessible via a 200m walk from parking area. There are NO amenities at the beach (or patrols) so bring all you need with you (and take rubbish out too :)) We visited at low tide, which meant we could easily explore the entire gully in waste deep water, and enjoy small secluded side beaches. Well worth a visit. Highly recommended.

There is nothing more we can add to the 3 earlier reviews as this little secluded beach within the Bournda NP is definitely worth seeking out as we did while on holiday’s in nearby Tathra.
The short walk to where Wallagoot beach & lake meet is also worth checking out for another spot to swim.

Located in Bournda NP, this special little beach is only accessible (safely) at low tide and was the original connection to Wallagoot Lake. The tide was turning on our visit and the waves were pushing thru towards the lookout which made a photo op hairy! You need a NP pass or $8 to park but their are plenty of tracks to explore apart from the Gap to make for a longer visit..
