Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The sundial very tall. Simple with roses around it. As Michael said it’s telling the time backwards. Nice to see. Good parking across the road

Big and simple, quite the novelty to see, even at night!
Would love to see it in the daylight to check the time.

Large sundial on each of Rosepoint park. Scary view from there of the recent floods when Rosepoint Park was flooded. Park in IGA carpark.

The sundial stands majestically in Singleton and is a lovely showpiece in the town. Well worth the visit and read a little background

Its a bit of a curiosity and worth a quick five minute visit. It also serves as a nice opportunity to educate young kids in this digital age as to how and why things work and how to tell the time without looking at your phone.

I was amazed to see how accurate it is. A fascinating salute to a bygone era. Worth a quick look, but not a long look

So everyone needs a big something! I am waiting for a city to call theirs a "big waste". Seriously, what's the purpose of a huge concrete construction where you can hardly ever see anyone? Can't we use taxpayers' money for better things?

The Singleton Sundial is worth at least a minute of your life as you pass through town. It’s best feature is it’s a “landmark” near the Gowrie Street shopping mall and cheapest fuel in town. The adjacent Hunter River walk on the far side of the netball courts is within sight of the sundial and a good place to go for a stroll on a long trip.
