Sad to see what was once majestic hill-like mountains of sand become an almost flat beach-like landscape over the years of visiting. Probably a combination of erosion & all the sand-based activities & the wear & tear. Unchecked vandalism has left its mark with broken...More

Amazing just to see the sheer number of tourists and tourist operators when you drive in off the road. A real eye opener. We prefer the quieter beaches so not for us but enjoyed seeing how popular it was.

Friends of ours took us out four wheel driving along the Stockton Sand Dunes as I wanted to find an area noted as Tin City... this is a small group of old tin shacks hidden in amongst the dunes. Really great area to photograph.

We discovered this place by chance and how amazing it is. Camels on the beach, huge sand dunes and 4X4 driving, dolphins surfing the waves only metres from swimmers, a great cafe, swimming and more. Excellent tourist destination.

This sand dunes themselves are set along a The Birubi Beach coastline, so quite the picturesque location, especially at dusk or dawn. This was only 5mins from the rainforest style YHA backpackers cabins I was staying in (Samurai Beach Bungalows - a stunning, budget friendly...More
