Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Very interesting and visually stunning. Make sure if you are driving yourself to let your tyres down and be aware of protected areas.

The sand dunes were very impressive and a must see but the access road in was poor and this was a land mark that has far more potential with appropriate management.

This is a lovely trip. The beach drive was well supervised and eco-friendly. There are many but reasonable rules. The beach itself was breathtaking.

A big stretch of sands offering multiple possibilities. You can just sit and relax, draw figures and sketches in the wet sand area with kids, hire and go on quad biking in the dunes, hire 'sun-board' and have the dry surfing fun or can just jump into the waters - the waves are enticing.

Did the camel ride (and sand boarding) on the spur of the moment.
Both were fabulous. The camel guys were such lovely people. We got great pics both on and off the camels, and we really enjoyed the ride on a stunning winter’s day. Sand dunes also fun, a little scary to begin with but then fine once you have taken the plunge...we went with our 7 and 13 year old sons, the loved it!!!

Beautiful location. We were lucky enough to see whales (Anna Bay end). It's free which is great unless you want to undertake one of the many available activities - camel rides, dune buggy rides through the 32km long sand dunes, sand surfing. Lovely little cafe at the Anna Bay end and some great walks. Well worthwhile.

The sand dunes can be seen from miles away and they tower over the beach from Stockton to Anna Bay about 30 kilometres. we walked along the beach and enjoyed the view however many do quad biking or sand surf. Sadly the beach area near Stockton itself is suffering badly from erosion. well worth seeing!

We experienced Stockton sand dunes mainly by foot from the beach. A unique experience even though we didn’t sandboard. We found just walking in the dunes a great experience. Added advantage is having a terrific coffee at Crest at the surf club.

Took my teenage daughter here for a girls weekend to quad bike through the sand dunes and it was so much fun! You are split up in different groups dependant on your speed and adventure capability. The ride is so much fun and each dune you ride up is different to the last you just don't know what is coming up around the next corner. We also stopped and looked at the MV Sygna shipwreck. Best experience ever.. Great for bonding!

What a beautiful beach, no matter what kind of sky goes over it. We saw blue sky, clouds then black clouds. All beautiful sights to see when combined with the beach.
