Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was fascinating to learn about the history of this beautiful homestead. The audio guide is a terrific idea! Loved the Aboriginal seed-grounding grooves, the 400-year-old Moreton Bay fig,the piglets, the grounds. Received a very warm welcome at reception. Will look into staying at The Barracks.

I visited here a while ago for an Architecture excursion where we had to design a potential building for the beautiful site. I was lucky enough to run into Michael who happily answered any questions I had and gave me some extra insight into the history of the property. All of the extra knowledge I received made the assessment so much easier to complete and Michael had so much passion when sharing his info. I would love to come back and do a proper tour of the property soon!

It was our first visit to Tocal and we were attracted by a day of "peek into the past". We visited as an extended family and the activities were perfect for young and old alike. It was helped by a mild (warm?) winter's day which was ideal for a picnic. The individual activities were topped off by a battle recreation put on by some very enthusiastic troops. A great day out!

If you are looking for an absolutely amazing wedding venue look no further. With the professional, friendly staff from Sprout catering (Aleisha provided as your event co Ordinator) to attend to every need of your guests, the food was supurb, everyone commented on the quality and quantity of the best food at a wedding I have ever eaten. The amazing huge fig tree to get married under and the outbuildings all at your disposal to use to create the most spectacular wedding photos. Only complaint was no one wanted it to end. Had the pleasure of also staying at "The Barracks" onsite, again WOW!! From the beautiful room with the fire going on arrival, to the yummy breakfast hamper delivered to your room the next day, nothing was a problem. Can't wait to go back again!!

Having often driven past this vast property, we decided to visit. It was a most interesting experience at very little cost. Photo opportunities are plentiful, the buildings are in amazingly good condition and history is plentiful. There are some animals on the homestead property, such as fowls, pigs and sheep. Great views of the College lands of which the homestead is a part. Friendly volunteers as usual make places like this a treat. The electronic devices supplied are another plus.
Would like to see a few horses and cattle in or around the sheds etc. However as the place is only open for 5 hours on Sundays that may be a bit much to ask for.
