A great way to see the Bay, took an hour to get there and back, and enjoyed a lovely lunch at Tea Gardens. Crew were very friendly with lots of local information, all up a very enjoyable day out!

The lady in the office was so unpleasant that it put us off, then we saw how rusty and old the ferry was (only one available in winter) and our mind was made up that is not to go. The skipper was bent down fixing...More

A great way to see Port Stephens is by taking the ferry service between Tea Gardens and Nelsons Bay. A very relaxing cruise where you can see dolphins at play and take in fantastic scenery along the way.

We went on this ferry ride to Tea Gardens. It was a beautiful day and the trip there and back was a wonderful experience, the waters were calm and we spotted a number of dolphins - the skipper kindly slowed for photos and a closer...More

Having taken this cruise previously, we had expected a replica trip, nut unfortunately this was not to be. Because there were so many passengers, we had to travel on a larger ferry. Personally, I felt that this beautiful old tub should have been retired some...More

No, passengers only. Would be fantastic to have a car ferry, it would allow to explore further to Hawks Nest for instance. Hard to do with no car.

Hi Robert, The ferry wharf is only about 50 metres to the pub and all flat. The wharf is ramped so no dramas with a wheel chair.
