Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a must do!
We saw humpback whales breaching, slapping their pectoral fins, rolling with tail slaps and just generally showing off. All up close & personal! Also lots of dolphins & seals
Captain Matt & Marine Biologist Meg provided a fabulous commentary & were able to answer all questions.
To see these massive mammals in real life - a dream come true for me.😁

We had a really lovely afternoon with aquamarine adventures. The water was a bit rough but they navigated it well and did a great job holding us steady while we tried to spot the whales! Very patient team and thoroughly enjoyed our experience! Thank you

We took a trip to Point Stephens at Fingal Bay , Matt was our guide and was a fantastic guide and very informative. As part of our trip we were taken into the light house and learnt about the history behind the light house and the lighthouse keepers residence. I would recommend this adventure to anyone who is capable of walking a bit of a distance.

Have been on Envision for a whale watch before which was great, but this was our first snorkel tour. They provide mask, snorkel and flippers and help you fit them. We went to Broughton Island, to a place called Coal Shaft Bay. The water was crystal clear and surprisingly warm. We snorkeled for an hour or so, and saw lots of wobbies, rays, groper and schools of small fish. The snorkel guide told us the names of lots of what we saw, she was very informative. We also saw a big pod of dolphins out on the ocean who were jumping and racing the boat. Will do this again!

Had a wonderful trip out to Sea with captain Matt. Totally recommend going. He gave us lots of info and followed a pair of whales as they rolled their way up the coast. We saw fins, underbelly, blowholes and even the occasional tail. I had such a lovely time chatting and watching the whales and we also captured some seals sunbaking on the rocks on our journey home. Also spotted birds and the occasional dolphin.

We absolutely loved our dolphin tour. Our skipper Matt was very knowledgeable and gave us a fabulous tour of Port Stephens. So great to get a closer view of the beautiful dolphins.

We really enjoyed this experience. It was a very interesting and engaging trip. The skipper was very informative and the staff were very friendly. The trip was a bit bumpy but we enjoyed it. We saw a whale but it wasn’t very active which was disappointing. We were at the tail end of the season and we’re sure that there would be more activity at other times of the year. Highly recommended but take seasickness tablets or treatments if you don’t do sea travel well!!!

This is an absolute must-do when in the area. The skipper Matt was brilliant and (as one of the group was a birder) not only found as great whale views a but also took the time to point out birds which was great to listen to. The deck hand (Jesse I think) also was on constant look out for other whales, other than the ones we were watching.
I wish I would have taken photos but was utterly enthralled by the mother and calf whale breaching ahead of us.
The sea was a little choppy but that added to the experience. Absolutely wonderful.
