Hot rocks where enjoyed. Club looking a bit tired.

Food is ok. Typical club type food. Garlic prawns where nice. Bistro desperately needs an update. Please please remove the cigarette vending machine from right inside your front door! Hot rock night seems very popular.

The place might look a little outdated on the outside and inside but the staff are extremely friendly . Big shout out to Virginia for her friendliness. The meal in the bistro was huge and fresh ad in the fact you have a water view !

Golf with the dolphins

Where else can you play golf with the dolphins swimming alongside the most picturesque fairways. You have the gorgeous aqua blue water of the Nambucca River flowing alongside as well.
This is a top place to play golf. Friendly pro shop and staff and beautifully kept course by a caring club of members.
The restaurant has beautiful hot rocks steaks on Thursday night and is great to sit and enjoy the view over the river at any time.
You can even take your well behaved dog on a leash when you play a social game. A golden Australian gem.

Good place for a meal or drink

Great view on the water and great food. Prices were good too. Lots of specials. The oysters were absolutely the best.

Such a Suprise

Oh my Lordy , what a delectable suprise !!!
Husband was most excited to have a Eye Fillet Hot Rock with prawns. So did not expect that , as he has only seen Hot Rocks in the big city . Mum had a Carbonara Chicken Schnitzel that was goddam so good ! Heaps of Parma cheese, that’s the way to go. The Calamari ticked all the boxes and a good size if you don’t want a huge meal . My Mexican salad was awesome, the Chipotle Sayce had a zing to it, and the size was huge . Our Pav, was great , you really can’t wreck a lab hey. I had the chocolate mint cheesecake , tbh ,was ok . The base was chocolate and the cake itself tasted like Creme De Menthe, which would have been ok if I was still in my teens, but I am now in my 50s. I was expecting chocolate with a mint taste through it. But that’s me . The club itself is huge, great big windows to view the river and wanna be fisherman’s. You can also see Nambucca Geads beach from the club. We lunched New Years Day and didn’t have any trouble finding a park. Our reservation was for 12, and I noticed many lunchers did not arrive until 1 .

Great little fun golf coarse that is suitable for everyone from pro to beginner.
they have a nice little restaurant and you can sit on the verandah and have a drink looking at the river views.

We played the Golf course and found it to be good a flat layout requiring straight hitting. It was a busy friday and a little slow to get around. Fairways needed some rain. What stood out was how friendlly everyone was. From the Proshop to the members they were all smiles.

Fantastic restaurant

Recently arranged a surprise 60th birthday for my wife at The Island Restaurant. The group of friends,family, children & grand kids totaled 41. Owner & head chef, Matthew Peck was very obliging and after choosing 2 entrees, 2 mains and desert to be alternatively provided, all guests were extremely complimentary on his food quality, presentation and meal sizes.
At $47ph for the adults ($10 for the 5 grand kids meals), I was more than happy with what was presented (especially the end bill).
Thanks again to Matt and his fantastic staff. A great lunch.

Mothers Day lunch

Visiting the Island Restaurant with a party of 12 for Mothers Day lunch was a lovely day. I ordered the entree of seared scallops with balsamic vinegar dressing. The price was $18.00 which I do not mind paying these days for an entree but when the dish came to the table there were only 4 scallops, a little disappointing. Other than that the meals were plentiful and tasty.

Excellent Golf Course

We visited Nambucca Heads golf course in search of excellent greens and WOW we found them!! This course is in outstanding condition considering the lack of rain and it is with high praise I commend the green staff on the best putting surfaces I have played on in years!! A fantastic intriguing layout that rewards good golf shots!! Watching your golf ball spin on these greens is awesome!! Definitely a hidden treasure and for the price it blows more expensive courses out of the park!!
