Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I found Paradise Park a little hard to find so let me give you good directions (if you need them). My GPS didn't find Paradise Park but it did find the Murrurundi Golf Club. Put that in and you will note there is some signage on the way, however it all of a sudden stops. Against all instinct carry on on the road you are on - it looks like you are headed out of town towards farm land.....keep driving and you will go through some bends of the road, then out of nowhere the cute Golf Club clubhouse will appear on your right. Keep going past this, and drive and you will soon find one park area and then another. Stop at the second park area - this is the base of the walk. I found this a short hike, not too demanding however I hike frequently. Once at the top I turned left and walked the 300 metres to the lookout. It was a beautiful view. I would love to hike this each season to see the difference in the landscape. Enjoy. :)

If you're looking for a reward after strenuous exercise then the Eye of the Needle walk is for you! A walk through pretty Paradise Park takes you to the rather steep Eye of the Needle (and it is! A narrow gap between rocks). A little treacherous in parts, and for the fit (or take it slowly) the walk is well worth the puffing! The view at the end (after a short walk to the cliff face) is spectacular. Definitely worth taking the time to visit and experience.

This is a really really pleasant walk. It is a bit of a scramble through some steep sections, so don’t wear your thongs/jandals/flip-flops. You will be rewarded with a walk through towering sedimentary cliffs with ficus and she-oaks alongside. The view from the look-out provides a wide panorama of the town and valley of Murrurundi.

Untouched hidden gem, this walk in Paradise Park Murrurundi is not on any map, not sign posted but the place is great with wonderful views, the parking area and toilets are great a Lions Club project.
It should be on everyone's bucket list

Fascinating walk, as you climb between a split in the rocks. As you return to the car park there are caves. The surface is quite good, on the return trip it can be a bit slippery & steep. Easy enough for active adults & children, but not suitable for anyone with poor mobility. Signage needs better maintenance & there are a lot of plants (pretty sure they're weeds) with really nasty thorns near the path to be aware of.

The view at the lookout of this walk is stunning!
The walk up isn't too bad - fairly steep. A few big steps at some points and the "needle" does get fairly narrow but my 7 and 9 year old managed it just fine. There were lots of rocks for them to climb on which they loved and my hubby had our 7 month old in a carrier.
The way down was a bit scary for me - lots of loose rocks and gravel but everyone else was fine.
It's 100% worth the hike for view!

Not for the faint-hearted - very steep climb. Stunning views when you get to the top. A must do. Takes about an hour to climb/walk and allow another 30 mins just to look at the views

So worth a look even if you go up a half way to look at the amazing wall of vertical rock formation. Need some good walking boots though and maybe a little more than moderate fitness to make it on the whole walk.

Paradise Park is a lovely area on the outskirts of Murrurundi, with tables and where you can picnic or bbq, and do all or part of the walk which takes you up to th Eye of the Needle rocks.
