It doesn’t matter how much or how little you know about wine, just sit back and enjoy personalised service from our friendly cellar door staff. The Artemis cellar door is the perfect environment to enjoy a tasting of our finely crafted wines, spirits and craft beer. It is a warm and welcoming haven in the chilly Southern Highlands winter. Taste our wines tucked up in front of the fire. In the summer our lush green lawn in front of the vines comes into its own. Bask under the shade of an umbrella while enjoying a glass or two Leashed pets are welcome in our outdoor areas.

Artemis Wines - enjoy fabulous wines and the wood fire oven pizzas cooked onsite!
Nov. 2021
On what was a chilly Saturday afternoon in The Southern Highlands we enjoyed a lovely tasting of Artemis wines. Our sommelier, Warren, was knowledgable and very gave us a great insight into 'cold climate' wines. The rosé wines and Pinot Noir were real stand outs! After out tasting we were seated in the bush garden and enjoyed 3 lovely, piping hot wood fired oven pizzas cooked onsite!!! Absolutely delicious!!!!

Not great not terrible, much friendlier cellar doors in the region.
Jun. 2021 • Couples
The wine, gin and food were all really quite good and we were greeted by very happy woofers on entry.

However, the rum was not fantastic and the service was lack lustre.
The staff seemed disinterested and the atmosphere felt quite unwelcoming.

There are cellar doors in the region with a much more personable feel and equally delicious wines.

Great Winery for family.

Awesome staff, wine and food! Live music was a bonus.
Plenty of rugs on offer if you want to sit on the grass.
Kids had a blast running around.
If you could get some outdoor games for all ages would be amazing.

Good food but management requires retraining
Jun. 2021 • Couples
We found the food good and most staff courteous but the Manager (lady) would benefit from a course in manners and hospitality. A staff member got our booking wrong and we were treated as outcastes by the Manager.

Don't go if you have a medical condition/injury
Jun. 2021
My family and I visited over the weekend. To be brief, one of our party required a high seat due to a medical condition. Artemis made an easily correctable mistake. However, management's response to their mistake was to be rude, offer snide remarks, lie about the situation and offer zero solutions to their error. Long gone are the days where the customer comes first. My two favourite quotes were "I have to protect my staff" and "I can't control the sun."

In summary, we called ahead to ensure we were at a high table to accommodate the medical condition. We were told that everything was sorted. When we arrived, our table was swapped out for what appeared to be, off duty teenage staff and friends. After zero action from my multiple requests, I swapped back tables. The senior manager then entered the discussion, asked us to relocate and said she didn't appreciate our behaviour. After a brief discussion where I pointed out the true events with her staff, the manager finally realised her staff's mistakes, fumbled a response of "I have to protect my staff" and promptly tucked her tail between her legs and disappeared. We heard nothing more from any managers and assumed all was fine. We then had a lovely lunch with appropriate seating for the injured party.

Artemis' wait staff and food were great. But the junior and senior management need some clear education in customer service, manners and most importantly, managing customers with medical conditions or serious injuries.

Wine, pizza and live music
Jun. 2021 • Couples
Went for pizza Sunday. Great way to spend a sunny afternoon, with delicious wine (I recommend the rose), live music playing, and really good wood fired pizza (the duck was delicious). The entire group had a great time.

Pinot Noir for days
May 2021
If you enjoy a glass of Pinot Noir, you must head to Artemis. The outdoor area gets a great dose of sunlight, perfect for a cooler winters day. The service during our tasting was fantastic and thorough. The dogs around the vineyard definitely top it off, making you feel like part of their family.

Wine tasting with cheese platter
Mar. 2021 • Couples
We went today as part of a luxury escapes package.
We got alittle lost and arrived way early but the lovely girl there was happy to do our booking straight away ...
we tried 6 very nice wines ( great commentary and info from our host) and enjoyed the cheeses, olives etc. so did the properties dogs 🙂.
Very picturesque area , well set up and great business model.
Will return with friends next time.

Small, rustic cellar door with very pleasant staff. Wines aren't too bad either.
Jan. 2021
We first heard of Artemis Wines after having a bottle of their Pinot Noir with dinner at Paste Restaurant and decided to visit the winery. The Artemis cellar door is located down a dirt road that leads off the Old Hume Highway about 5 kilometres from Mittagong (heading south).

The cellar door is not large though it has inside and outside tasting areas. As it was raining on the day of our visit we sat inside.

Tastings were $5 (non-refundable) per person for a tasting of 6 wines from a list of 13 wines. There was also gin and rum tastings. The wines included two Rieslings, a Pinot Grigio, a Sauvignon blanc, a Gewurztraminer, a Rose, two Pint Noirs, two Shirazes, a Petit Verdot, a Cabernet Franc and a dessert Riesling. We preferred the Rose and the Pinot Noirs.

The winery also had a special that if you purchased six bottles of wine you received for free an extra bottle to the value of up to $27.

The winery also had a small number of cheese/charcuterie platters. We had a small vintage cheese platter for $15.

The young lady who attended to us was very friendly and knowledgeable of the Artemis Wines.

Last minute stop in
Feb. 2021 • Couples
One of the most fantastic winery experiences I've had to date .. and I've had a lot.

Even without a booking we were welcomed warmly in to a small marquee and shown through a selection of half a dozen wines (of our choosing). I have no idea how Artemis had escaped my attention before but I'm certainly happy I stumbled across them on a last minute unplanned visit.

Outstanding staff who were as knowledgeable as they were friendly and wines to match. Everything we tried, we purchased. The couple of gins I tried were also fantastic. My wife and I simply couldn't fault a single aspect of a very enjoyable hour or so - we're both looking forward to getting back there in the near future to try their food and delve a little deeper into the wines we missed this time around.

Perfect. Eleven out of ten. 100% returning! 🍷
