Have had several visits to this tourist information centre when visiting the southern highlands. Again most impressed recently when seeking information on walks in the area. Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Also provided great maps and directions. A very clean facility. Has a gift shop with items from local artisans and wineries. Spring flowers in full bloom are worth stopping to enjoy at this time of year. Plenty of parking and conveniently located beside main road into town.

Good sized carpark with lovely gardens. Sign on book and sanitizer just inside the door. Staff friendly and helpful. The shop is well laid out and spacious. Many souvenirs available from maps to local wine, cricket bats, teatowels and keyrings.

popped in here on a Saturday morning, they weren't very busy, but probably because we were first int he door. They were really helpful giving us maps of the area and places to visit.

stopped here on our way wine tasting in the southern highlands - staff was EXTREMELY helpful and helped us map out what turned out to be a perfect day of wine tasting and sight seeing

If you need maps, brochures and good advice on places and things to see and do at the Southern Highlands then this place is a must see. The staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. There is also a selection of local wines and produce to introduce you to what is available in the area.

Thank you for your review. The Welcome Centre staff pride themselves on being knowledgeable and helpful and have great passion for their jobs. The staff love giving all our customers information on all the main points of interest but also some hidden gems in the area. Please visit us again when you are in the Southern Highlands.

We had a wonderful cycling from the centre up Mt Gibraltar over and around Bowral then back. The electric bike was fantastic. I am low fitness level and was able to do a days riding comfortably. We’ll do this again. Thank you to the helpful staff.

This information Centre is just what is needed when arriving somewhere new. The staff were very helpful with a free map/info. booklet and some suggestions of places to visit. Even if you look places up on the internet, it's never the same as being there and getting some 'insider' knowledge.

The team at the welcome centre were fantastic, they knew the region inside out and gave us great ideas of what to do.

Highland's Marketplace in Mittagong is open till 9pm on Thursdays, but Bowral is up to individual stores.
