Country theme park charging city prices
Our main issue with the park is that it is over priced. They are charging city theme park prices for a small country park. $316 dollars for a family of 5 was just too much. Thankfully we had our lunch with us as the food is also overpriced. Also, despite the park closing at 4, half the rides shut at 3.30, which was frustrating. Oh, and one staff member lost her mind at a guest at the toboggan ride. Her behaviour was very ugly to watch, and took place in front of a full line of kids and parents. We did have a good day and the rides were surprisingly good so it’s a real shame that they charge so much for entry as we will never go back.

We loved it, so much fun!
Fantastic! Excellent value for what this theme park has to offer. My husband and I went, he was hesitant thinking it was just for kids but we found is for adults too. We had so much fun, it was the best day! The taboggan ride is amazing and goes for ages all through the trees, never been on any ride like it, you can go as fast as you like and then at the end you get pulled up like luggage to the top! The roller coaster was the best roller coaster, very fast and made you scream, we went on this over and over, same with taboggan ride. We were lucky it was not very busy so there were no lines, we just went on rides as many times as we wanted! There were loads of waterslides but we just did the dry rides. Food we thought was good value for what you got, we got to share a burger, large chips and large coke deal for$23 the lady cooked it all fresh and it was massive burger and so yummy, also heaps of nice chips. I don't understand why anyone could complain about this theme park in any way, we loved it. Every single staff member we encountered were extremely friendly and helpful if needed, they were all great. We had so much fun it was truly a memorable day.

    Magic time @ Magic Mountain
We had a great day and went on the water slides, played mini golf, the toboggan ride, the roller coaster, petrol race cars, dodgem cars, tube ride and definitely had an action packed day that was well worth the entry fee. Kids and adults all had such a great time that we upgraded to the season pass at the end of our visit. It was school holidays and between Christmas and New Years and the wait times were more than reasonable, staff friendly and I would recommend for a fun family day out.

Thanks for a fun day. Kids loved it and I loved it and would definitely return if we're around Merimbula in the future. Highlights were the rollercoaster and toboggan.

Things which could have been better:

More shade, especially outside the rides so you're not baking in the sun while waiting.

Water refill stations. We had to ask at the kiosk to refill our water bottles because there were no other places to do so.

Grand prix waiting time was potentially not worth the ride itself. I understand you can only fit five cars at a time, but from the outside you don't see the line inside which requires around 3 or 4 more cycles! It would be very useful to have a sign or two outside somewhere saying "X minutes from here" or "1 hour from here" so people know what they're getting into. Could have done the rollercoaster at least three times while waiting for the cars.

We live only a little over an hour away and had a great Sunday visit in the middle of the School Holidays.
The weather was perfect, our kids aged 4 and 2 were free to enter as you only have to pay if you are over 5 years old.

We are used to going to overseas theme parks so I had to make sure to tell my eldest not to expect "disneyland" but she had a great day regardless.
Our Fav things were the dry tube slide, go carts and the kids pool.

The staff were all extremely wonderful and it was great to be able to take our 2yo on a lot of the rides, I do think there needs to be more for younger kids. The Jumping Castle would only allow 4 at a time which isn't enough, the play equipment is extremely past it's use-by-date and needs replacing and the kids pool really needs a splash area for kids who can't swim yet, the pool is for under 6 only but big kids were in there and no one told them to get out and a lot of kids under 6 can't yet swim so the pool was fairly empty as it was quite boring when you can't swim. A few spray jets would fix this or even the addition of a water park.
That would get us back for season passes for sure!

Roller Coaster wasn't working due to "covid" but not sure why when every other ride was operating.

overall a great day.

Great park for young and old children to spend a lazy day. The water slides are the best feature. The toboggan is good fun as well. The go-karts are a bit slow and unfortunately the rollercoaster was closed when we went today. Food kiosk should have more options as they had run out of fish and chips by 1:30 pm today. Buy tickets online as they are six dollars per ticket cheaper than on site. Plenty of on-site parking on weekdays – try to visit on weekdays to avoid queues. Older children will enjoy the treetop adventure but you have to pay extra for it.

Amazingly weekdays are our busier days, so I personally recommend weekends especially Saturdays, this is due to tourism travelling patterns. Thank you for providing feedback, glad your family has enjoyed their day here.

New management pathetic website info, severe restrictions on ride use and height restrictions not on website, rides my 4 year old could do alone 2019 can’t do any more 2021 without adult again not mentioned on website, roller coaster not running blamed COVID-19 over priced, old gift shop gone now pathetic little gift shop where cafe used to be. Nothing for toddlers beyond 1 crap car ride and a couple of swings don’t waste your time or money, poorly managed, used to be the reason we came to Merimbula and now over priced and sad to say the reason we will never come back to merimbula. Congratulations magic mountain for ruining what used to be a great family run park and awesome holiday destination

I am sorry that you felt this was your experience. However a 4 year old can ride with an adult on EVERYTHING except the Tree Climb. They are able to ride alone on the Crazy Car, Toddler Pool, Jumping Castle, Carpet Slide, Maze and Mini Golf this was the same in 2019. Prices also have not increased in this time, in fact have been reduced by $6 a ticket if you purchase online. While I thank you for you input I feel it was inaccurate, and we do hope that this does not prevent you from visits to Merimbula in the future.

If your not riding be prepared to still have to pay the full ride fee to enter, I wasn't even aloud to enter to find my child at the end of the day, and make sure you only have efpos apparently they dont take cash which is ridiculous as it's a form of paying currency and not all 12 to 14yo have bank accounts so the group of kids that went with my daughter couldn't be supervised or pay to get in or pay for any food or drinks unless I played to ride which I wasn't riding.
I remember being able to go with the whole family grandparents and all and those that didn't ride just relaxed on the grass and watched.
No wonder people aren't packing in there anymore.

The park refused too accept cash, they only accepted our $186 in cash after we said we would leave. The main attraction roller coaster was closed under the guise of covid safey. Forced QR code and temp check in. We felt very discriminated.

Magic Mountain, your business is suffering, you need to make an effort to provide a pleasurable experience.

Discrimination implies that you were singles out, which certainly was not the case. Every family is asked to use our cashless facilities, is asked to check in using our QR which is a NSW government mandatory requirement and we temperature test every guests. We take our Covid safety and the safety of all patrons to our park very seriously. By entering the park you accept the terms and conditions of entry which are clearly displays as you enter as well as on our website. But we thank you for your feedback

We went here on a Saturday with prebooked tickets. Made no difference as they had one queue for everyone. The COVID marshal took parts of the job too seriously but was happy to squish everyone together without any distancing once she had checked temperatures and sign ins. It was a terrible experience on a quiet day, I’d hate to be there when it’s busy.
The park itself was good. The kiosk chap worked on his own with people queuing for ages as he served, got food and made coffees .. he explained he was busy as other staff normally helping were catering for a large group... arranging extra staff would have been a sensible solution and easily planned.
The tree climb high wire arrangement looked amazing, but it is astonishing that everyone, including kids from 13 years, go up alone (no supervision, no guide). It is not clear how they would get someone down if they got too scared, or gave up, at any point. Everywhere else in the world I’ve seen these businesses you go with someone, or two people (One in front and one behind).
Overall the kids had a great day, and it’s well worth a visit.

We are so sorry our queuing practices weren't spot on the day you came, as you can imagine it was a little bit of learning curve to get it right, we do believe we have it sorted now :) The tree climb is a solo climbers have a full 20 minutes of training where they are assessed by our qualified team, they are supervised from the ground at all times by both the Tree Climb attendants and the Ride staff on the ground, and if more support is required our attendant will go into the trees to support the Guests and get the down safely if needed. Our climb is designed so you are unable to detach from the course until its complete so all climbers are completely safe, and we are one of at least 20 business in Australia who run with similarly designed courses. We fully encourage you to give the Tree Climb a go if you are up for the Challenge :)

We visited Magic Mountain with our 2 boys aged 8 and 6. We had such a fun time. Arrived close to opening and left on closing time. Unfortunately the rollercoaster is not operating but we still had a great time. The toboggan ride was the team favourite. We also had fun on the go carts, the kids were too small to drive though.
Lines were short for all rides and water slides so got lots of turns.
It was a great value day at around $140 for a family of four and 7 hours of entertainment.

Entrance is expensive, especially if you can't take any rides but want to be with family who can. They have a cheaper ticket for seniors which is good. There's lots to do from carpet rides to car racing and mini golf. You can take your picnic in and there are a couple of BBQs to use. We had a very enjoyable day and would go again

Firstly manage you expectations. We went today as the weather was a bit mixed and I thought max a few hours to entertain the kids. We were there for nearly 7 hours. Somehow the kids entertained themselves (2 boys aged 10 and 8) and even I ( Mid 30’s something cough) did a few rides and we did the Tree Tops together which is an extra $30 each but good way to kill another 2 hours.

It’s a small place but clean and not busy so no queues. Staff are friendly and we all left happy.
Book tickets online it’s cheaper but as many have said website is buggy.

Enjoy
