Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Great place for either a short of longer walk that hugs the coast. Opportunities to see bird lift, native plants & scenic photo shots. Take the walk up to Bar Beach - a favorite for families, surfies & kayakers; its well worth the visit. Has a kiosk with plenty of spots to sit & enjoy the scenery.

Beautiful walk at all times of the day! There is a lot of benches to sit at, and the views are beautiful

On the skirting edge of town.
A really lovely and perfectly built boardwalk along the estuary and inner harbor. Dog friendly (on leash). Very easy and lovely on any tide. A must do while in Merimbula

Park at Bar Beach or Spencer Park then enjoy the stroll along the waterfront. Stop at the Bar Beah kiosk to refresh.

Nice walk, quite uneven, but very enlightening as it had a lot of signs explaining the aboriginal history of the plants and area. Due for and upgrade 2019-2021 according to signs.

This has the potential to be a great walking track but when we did it it needed heaps of maintenance. There were fallen tree branches, missing steps and it was highly unsuitable for children. We ended carrying ours for the last half of the walk.

a beautiful walk that leads to free gas bbq's and undercover dining - even powerpoints in roof frame in case you've run out of power...the toilets are a short walk down to Spencer Park.

Walk from Spencer Park to Bar Beach. Cafe food van at the end and killer views along the way. Takes about 40 mins one way and contains steps.

If you go up to Rotary park you'll get amazing views of the bottom lake and the ocean. If you keep walking out to the point you'll go on a nice adventure along the cliff.

This is a great little walk and highly recommended for everyone. Not suited to people with mobility issues (but there are far worse) and could be a little better maintained but overall a very pleasant walk with great views across the river to Fishpen in a lovely bushland setting. Rotary Park near the Spenser Park end is a great spot for a BBQ or picnic lunch with easy access.
